Pan-European Network for Sustainable Hydropower

PEN@Hydropower is a network to establish a Pan-European network for a sustainable, digitalised Hydropower contributing to the Clean Energy Transition (CET).

A united network of researchers, engineers, scholars to facilitate close collaboration among European research groups through projects supporting sustainable Hydropower.

Promotes cross-disciplinary activities with the aim of knowledge sharing, boost new interlinked collaborations and put the basis for holistic solutions to the complex challenges of building a sustainable hydropower.

Promote the onset of a new generation of Hydropower experts, naturally educated for crosscutting and interlinked research projects with the final aim of building sustainable and flexible Hydropower.

What we do

MEETINGS, WORKSHOPS & CONFERENCES

Meetings are organized by COST Action Management Committees (MC) in any COST Member State joining the network.

SHORT TERM SCIENTIFIC MISSION (STSM)

Short-term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are exchange visits for researchers within their Action.

CONFERENCE GRANTS

These grants are aimed at young researchers and PhD students from Inclusive Target Countries (ITC).

COMMUNICATION

COST actively encourages and supports Actions to share outcomes with researchers, policymakers, the private sector & civic society.

TRAINING SCHOOLS & CAPACITY BUILDING

Training schools are intensive coaching opportunities for Action participants that last for up to 15 days.

VIRTUAL NETWORKING TOOLS

Grants that finance networking and other activities that do not necessarily require in-person presence.
