Join us for a pivotal event hosted by PEN@hydropower COST Action at the Université Libre de Bruxelles on the 23rd of September. This hybrid event, accessible both on-site and online, will feature leading experts and stakeholders discussing the current and future landscape of hydropower in Europe.

Event Highlights:

  • Panel Session 1: "Ambassadors for European Hydropower"
    Explore the current state of hydropower in Europe. This session will address the challenges and opportunities within the sector and its evolving role in Europe’s energy landscape.

  • Panel Session 2: "Education and Skills: The Future of Hydropower"
    Discuss the future of skills in the hydropower sector. This panel will evaluate the existing educational framework and identify the skill gaps and opportunities needed to prepare the next generation of hydropower professionals.


Hear from a diverse group of experts including representatives from the European Commission, EERA, COST, TU Wien, and Eurelectric, along with other distinguished guests to be announced.

Special Announcement:
We are excited to announce the winners of the HydroClip competition during the event. This competition invited students to showcase hydropower through TikTok and Instagram videos, presenting hydropower in their countries. Join us to celebrate their creative contributions and see how young voices are portraying the future of hydropower.
