PEN@Hydropower MC Meeting - Iceland

We would like to thank our members and stakeholders for joining us in Iceland! 🇮🇸

PEN@Hydropower recently organised its third COST Association - European Cooperation in Science and Technology Management Committee meeting in #Reykjavik in #Iceland after one year of the action.

Over 30 MC members from all over Europe travelled to Iceland, hosted by Reykjavik University, to discuss the status of the #sustainablehydropower network, to provide updates on the #research actions being pioneered by the Working Groups and to plan the way forward for the action to grow and achieve its #research and #capacitybuilding objectives.

We were honoured to host our guest speakers: Alberto Santolin from 45 Engineering, Ioannis Anagnostopoulos from the National Technical University of Athens and Juan Ignatio Pérez Diaz from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid discussing at our Roundtable on flexibility provided by #hydropower and Jóhanna Hlín Auðunsdóttir who led the Thematic Workshop on a holistic approach to #sustainability in #hydropower.

We look forward to our next MC meeting to connect with all our members to further the objectives of the Action.

A big thanks to our MC members as well as to our Core Group leaders: Eduard Doujak, Giovanna Cavazzini, Marko Hocevar, Marina Cerpinska, Egidijus Kasiulis, Elena Pummer, Elena Vagnoni, Dogan Gezer, Sebastian Muntean and especially David C Finger for the organisation of the meeting.
